Completing Homework Using MathXL

When a student completes his homework, the problems he solves all come from a system separate from the MyMathLab system.  Because of this, when MyMathLab or CourseCompass is down, it is usually possible to complete homework by going directly to the MathXL system.  The problems will be the same, and a student’s work is saved just like it would be saved were he to be working through MyMathLab.  Following is an explanation of how this is done.

Go to http://www.mathxl.com/mmllogin.htm and enter your Login Name and Password as depicted below.

Click on the Log In button.  Something similar to the following should appear.

Make sure your course is the one selected.  Then click the Submit button.  The following screen should appear.

Click on the Enter MathXL button.  Your screen should look similar to the following, with the exception that a student’s screen will not have the instructor buttons.

Make sure the course name in the upper right-hand corner is your course.  At this point, you may click on the Do Homework button and work on your homework in the same way that you would do this in MyMathLab.
